Self-Tape Audition Coach
Free demo · nothing uploaded

Point a camera at yourself.

This runs the actual cue logic — framing, eyeline, pace — in your browser, live, on your own machine. No video or audio leaves this page. There is no account and no upload; check your network panel if you don't believe us.

What it's checking

Framing

Are you a waist-to-chest shot, centred, with 4–14% headroom, and level? The dashed box is the zone your head should live in.

Eyeline

Eye gaze plus head rotation — because a turned head with centred eyes isn't looking at the camera, and eyes alone would say it was. In Scene mode you should be just off the lens and steady; in Slate mode, straight down it.

Pace

Loudness peaks over the last 8 seconds, converted to a rough words-per-minute. It is not speech recognition and it cannot tell what you said — it can only tell gabbling from dragging, which is the only call it makes.

What this demo is not

  • It is not the app. It's the cue logic in a browser tab, built in an afternoon to show the idea is real.
  • Its accuracy has not been checked against a real actor in a real room by anyone who coaches for a living. That is the open question the $9 pre-order is explicitly waiting on.
  • Headroom is the weakest number here: the tracker stops at your hairline, so the top of your head is estimated, not measured.
  • It does not record, save, or upload your take. It does not replace watching your own tape back.

Pre-order the real one — $9

Which ships only if the tracking question resolves, with a full refund if it doesn't. Terms.
